     Richmond Makepeace Thackeray was born in August 1781 at South Mimms, London, England^G.² He was the son of William Makepeace Thackeray and Amelia Richmond Webb.³ He was baptised on 1 September 1781.³ He married Anne Becher, daughter of John Harman Becher and Harriet Cowper, on 13 October 1810 at India^G.^1,4 He died on 13 September 1815 at age 34.⁴
     He was in the Honourable East India Company Service.⁴

     William Makepeace Thackeray was born on 18 July 1811 at Alipur, Calcutta, India^G.¹ He was the son of Richmond Makepeace Thackeray and Anne Becher.¹ He married Isabella Gethen Creagh Shawe, daughter of Colonel Matthew Shawe, in 1837 at Paris, France^G.³ He died on 24 December 1863 at age 52.¹
     He wrote the book Vanity Fair.¹

     Maj.-Gen. J. D. Sherwood gained the rank of Major-General in the Bengal Artillery.¹

     Captain unknown Scott married Teresa Anne Morris, daughter of Thomas Morris.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 32nd Regiment.¹

     Annabella Violet Crofton was the daughter of John Crofton.¹ She married Charles Paget Carmichael, son of David Scott Carmichael Smyth and Anne Sherwood, in 1887.¹ She died on 15 September 1890, without issue.¹
     From 1887, her married name became Carmichael.¹

     Sarah Margaret Truelock was the daughter of Venerable George Truelock.¹ She married David Freemantle Carmichael, son of David Scott Carmichael Smyth and Anne Sherwood, on 27 September 1876.¹ She died on 23 April 1900.¹
     From 27 September 1876, her married name became Carmichael.¹

     Venerable George Truelock held the office of Archdeacon of Killala.¹
