     Mary Campbell was born on 6 October 1765.2 She was the daughter of John Campbell and Ann Carolina Campbell.3,2 She married Alexander Campbell of Barcaldine and Glenure, son of Duncan Campbell of Barcaldine and Glenure and Mary Macpherson, on 22 September 1785.1

Sir Duncan Campbell of Barcladine, 1st Bt.

     Sir Duncan Campbell of Barcaldine, 1st Bt. was born on 3 July 1786.1 He was the son of Alexander Campbell of Barcaldine and Glenure and Mary Campbell.3 He married Elizabeth Dreghorn Dennistoun, daughter of James Dennistoun and Margaret Dreghorn, on 22 February 1815.1 He died on 2 April 1842 at age 55.1
     He fought in the Battle of Copenhagen.1 He fought in the Walcheran Expedition.1 He fought in the Battle of Talavera on 27 July 1809, as Aide-de-Camp to General Sir Alexander Campbell, Bt.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Guards.1 He fought in the Peninsular Wars.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Argyllshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Argyllshire.1 He was created 1st Baronet Campbell, of Barcaldine, co. Argyll [U.K.] on 30 September 1831.1

     Elizabeth Martineau was born on 13 August 1794.1,2 She was the daughter of Thomas Martineau and Elizabeth Rankin.1 She married Thomas Michael Greenhow, son of Edward Martin Greenhow and Mary Powditch, on 27 June 1820 at St. Saviour's Church, Norwich, Norfolk, England.2 She died on 10 February 1850 at age 55 at Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, EnglandG.1
     From 27 June 1820, her married name became Greenhow.1
