Alexander Campbell of Barcaldine and Glenure was born on 30 April 1745.2 He was the son of Duncan Campbell of Barcaldine and Glenure and Mary Macpherson.2 He married Mary Campbell, daughter of John Campbell and Ann Carolina Campbell, on 22 September 1785.2 He died on 17 March 1800 at age 54.2
