Emily Sleap was the daughter of Thomas Sleap.1 She married Sir David Burnett, 1st Bt., son of David Burnett, on 28 August 1875.1 She died on 19 May 1917.1

Lt.-Col. Sir Leslie Trew Burnett, 2nd Bt. was born on 22 September 1884.1 He was the son of Sir David Burnett, 1st Bt. and Emily Sleap.2 He married Joan Humphrey, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir John Humphrey, on 21 April 1917.1 He died on 17 July 1955 at age 70.1
He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 4th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers.1 He held the office of Lieutenant of the City of London.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Burnett, of Selborne House, in the Borough of Croydon [U.K., 1913] on 7 July 1930.1 He was Honorary Colonel of the Royal Fusiliers between 1936 and 1951.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1944.1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He was a director of The Proprietors of Hays Wharf Ltd.1 He was a director of Denny, Mott and Dickson Ltd.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Surrey.1
