     Janet Grant was the daughter of Ludovic Grant, 8th of Freuchie and 1st of Grant and Janet Brodie.1,2 She married Sir Roderick Mackenzie of Scatwell, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Kenneth Mackenzie of Scatwell, 1st Bt. and Lilas Mackenzie, in 1710.3 She died on 10 February 1761.3
     From 1710, her married name became Mackenzie.1

     Margaret Grant was the daughter of Ludovic Grant, 8th of Freuchie and 1st of Grant and Janet Brodie.1,2 She married Simon Fraser, 11th Lord (Fraser of) Lovat, son of Thomas Fraser of Lovat and Sibylla MacLeod, in December 1716.3 She died in 1729, in childbed.2
     From December 1716, her married name became Fraser.3

     From 15 January 1704, her married name became Rose.

     Sir Ludovick Grant of Grant, 7th Bt. was born on 13 January 1707.1 He was the son of Sir James Grant of Grant, 6th Bt. and Anne Colquhoun.3,1 He married, firstly, Marian Dalrymple, daughter of Hon. Sir Hew Dalrymple of North Berwick, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Hamilton, on 6 July 1727.4 He married, secondly, Lady Margaret Ogilvy, daughter of James Ogilvy, 5th Earl of Findlater and Lady Elizabeth Hay, on 31 October 1735.3,4 He died on 18 March 1773 at age 66.4
     He was admitted to Scots Bar in 1728 entitled to practise as a Advocate.1 In 1729 his name was legally changed to Ludovick Colquhoun of Luss on inheriting Luss.5 In 1732 after becoming heir to the Grant estates on his elder brother's death and eventually yielding to the necessity of making over the Colquhoun ones to his younger brother James.)4 In 1732 he became heir apparent to the Grant estates so that he was obliged to make over the Colquhoun estates, which he had till then held, to his brother James.1 In 1739 his name was legally changed to Ludovick Grant of Grant.5 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Moray between 1741 and 1761.1 In 1747 he succeeded to the Grant estates.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Colquhoun, of Luss [N.S., 1625] on 16 January 1747.1
