Commander Cecil Delves Broughton was born on 19 June 1837.1 He was the son of Reverend Thomas Delves Broughton and Frances Corkran.1 He married Marion Honora Bouwens, daughter of Reverend Theodore Bouwens and Lady Julia Lambart, on 1 June 1871.1 He died on 1 May 1899 at age 61.1

Colonel Theodore Delves Broughton was born on 25 December 1872.1 He was the son of Commander Cecil Delves Broughton and Marion Honora Bouwens.1 He married, firstly, Marion Julia Bouwens, daughter of Charles Augusta Theodore Bouwens, in 1897.1 He married, secondly, Eva Joanna Sill, daughter of Colonel John Warre Sill and Eva Pulteney Marguerite Sutton, on 28 October 1908.1
He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.1 He fought in the First World War, serving in Mesopotamia and Persia, and was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Brigadier.1 He fought in the Malabar Campaign between 1921 and 1922.1 He held the office of Chief Engineer of India between 1925 and 1929.1
