     Alicia Frances Duff Gordon is the daughter of Sir William Duff Gordon, 2nd Bt. and Caroline Cornewall.¹

     Lt.-Col. Alexander Gordon was born circa 1774.¹ He was the son of Hon. Alexander Gordon, Lord Rockville and Anne Duff.¹ He died on 28 July 1809, killed in action, unmarried.¹
     He was Aide-de-Camp to the Earl of Hardwicke in Ireland.² He fought in the Battle of Talavera on 28 July 1809.¹

     General Cosmo Gordon was born on 28 November 1777.² He was the son of Hon. Alexander Gordon, Lord Rockville and Anne Duff.³ He married Caroline Bird.² He died on 7 March 1867 at age 89 at Exton, Hampshire, England^G.^1,4
     He was commissioned in 1792 with the rank of Ensign.¹ He fought in the Siege of Pondicherry.¹ He fought in the Battle of Argaum.¹ He fought in the Walcheren Expedition in 1809.¹ He gained the rank of General in June 1854.¹

     Cosmo Gordon was the son of General Cosmo Gordon and Caroline Bird.^1,2 He died in January 1876.³

     Janet Duff is the daughter of William Duff of Crombie and Elizabeth Dalrymple.² She married Sir Hew Hamilton-Dalrymple of Bargany, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Hew Dalrymple of North Berwick, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Sainthill, before 1773.³
     From before 1773, her married name became Dalrymple. From 12 February 1796, her married name became Hamilton-Dalrymple.²

     Henry Boyle, 3rd Earl of Shannon was born on 8 August 1771.¹ He was the son of Richard Boyle, 2nd Earl of Shannon and Catharine Ponsonby.¹ He married Sarah Burton Hyde, daughter of John Hyde and Sarah Burton, on 7 June 1798.¹ He died on 22 April 1842 at age 70.¹

[Ireland] in 1809.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Boyle of Bandon, co. Cork [I., 1756] on 8 July 1815.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Shannon [I., 1756] on 8 July 1815.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Carleton, of Carleton, co. York [G.B., 1786] on 8 July 1815.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron of Castle Martyr, co. Cork [I., 1756] on 8 July 1815.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of County Cork between 1831 and 1842.¹

     Joan Duff was born in 1698.¹ She was the daughter of James Duff and Jean Meldrum.¹

     Mary Duff was born in 1699.¹ She was the daughter of James Duff and Jean Meldrum.¹ She died in 1780.¹

     Margaret Duff was born in 1700.¹ She was the daughter of James Duff and Jean Meldrum.¹ She married William Gordon.¹ She died in 1789.¹
