     Robert Cholmondeley, 1st and last Earl of Leinster was born on 26 June 1584 at Crouchend, Highgate, London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Sir Hugh Cholmondeley and Mary Holford.1 He married Hon. Catherine Stanhope, daughter of John Stanhope, 1st Baron Stanhope of Harrington and Margaret MacWilliams.2 He died on 2 October 1659 at age 75, without legitimate issue.1 He was buried at Malpas, Cheshire, EnglandG.2
     He matriculated at Queen's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 24 October 1600.1 He was created 1st Baronet Cholmondeley, of Cholmondeley, co. Chester [England] on 29 June 1611.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1621.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cheshire from 1625 to 1626.1 He was created 1st Viscount Cholmondeley of Kells, co. Meath [Ireland] on 2 July 1628.1 He was a Joint Commissioner of Array for Cheshire in 1642.1 He was a Compounder to Parliament for £7,742.1 He was created 1st Baron Cholmondeley of Wichemalbank, co. Chester [England] on 1 September 1645.1 He was created 1st Earl of Leinster [Ireland] on 5 March 1645/46.2
     On his death, all of his titles became extinct.2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3

     Sir Richard Graham, 1st Bt. was baptised on 11 March 1635/36.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Graham of Esk, 1st Bt. and Catherine Musgrave.2,3 He married Elizabeth Fortescue, daughter of Colonel Sir Chichester Fortescue and Elizabeth Slingsby, before 1660.4 He died circa December 1711.1 He was buried on 21 December 1711.4
     He was admitted to Gray's Inn in February 1651/52.4 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1654.4 He was created 1st Baronet Graham, of Norton Conyers, co. York [England] on 17 November 1662.1

     Elizabeth Fortescue was the daughter of Colonel Sir Chichester Fortescue and Elizabeth Slingsby.1 She married Sir Richard Graham, 1st Bt., son of Sir Richard Graham of Esk, 1st Bt. and Catherine Musgrave, before 1660.2
     From before 1660, her married name became Graham.1

     Elizabeth Slingsby is the daughter of Sir William Slingsby.1 She married, secondly, John Villiers, 1st Viscount Purbeck, son of Sir George Villiers and Mary Beaumont, Countess of Buckingham.2 She married, firstly, Colonel Sir Chichester Fortescue.3
     Her married name became Fortescue.3 Her married name became Villiers.2 She gained the title of Viscountess Purbeck.
