     Sir William de Hamilton is the son of Robert de Beaumont, 3rd Earl of Leicester and Pernel de Grandmesnil. He married Ann Lumsden.

     Marion Sempill was born in 1617.¹ She was the daughter of Hugh Sempill, 5th Lord Sempill and Lady Anne Hamilton.¹ A contract for the marriage of Marion Sempill and Sir George Preston of Valleyfield, 1st Bt. was signed on 4 May 1636.² She died in 1706.¹
     From 4 May 1636, her married name became Preston.¹

     John Preston was born in 1654 at Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.¹ He was the son of William Preston and Ann Saunders.¹ He married Sarah Gardner, daughter of Samuel Gardner and Elizabeth Goodwin, on 25 March 1678 at Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.¹ He died in 1728 at Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Sarah Gardner was born in 1660.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Gardner and Elizabeth Goodwin.¹ She married John Preston, son of William Preston and Ann Saunders, on 25 March 1678 at Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.¹ She died in 1728.¹
     From 25 March 1678, her married name became Preston.¹

     Sarah Preston was born on 8 November 1693 at Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.¹ She was the daughter of John Preston and Sarah Gardner.² She married Nathaniel Kellogg, son of Nathaniel Kellogg and Sarah Boltwood, on 4 March 1713/14 at Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.¹ She died on 15 September 1756 at age 62 at Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.^2,1
     From 4 March 1713/14, her married name became Kellogg.²

     Nathaniel Kellogg was born on 22 September 1693 at Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.¹ He was the son of Nathaniel Kellogg and Sarah Boltwood.¹ He married, firstly, Sarah Preston, daughter of John Preston and Sarah Gardner, on 4 March 1713/14 at Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.¹ He married, secondly, Martha Allis, daughter of Ichabod Allis and Mary Belden, on 1 July 1758.¹ He married, thirdly, Elizabeth (?) on 29 October 1765 at Ware, U.S.A.^G.¹ He died on 6 August 1770 at age 76 at Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Hadley Militia.¹ He was a surveyor of land.¹
