John Clotworthy, 1st Viscount Massereene was the son of Sir Hugh Clotworthy and Mary Langford.2 He married Lady Margaret Jones, daughter of Roger Jones, 1st Viscount Ranelagh and Frances Moore, before 1642/43. He died on 23 September 1665 at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, without male issue.1
