     Jane McCoy was born on 10 July 1837 at Pitcairn Island^G.² She is the daughter of Matthew McCoy and Margaret Christian.¹ She married Henry Joshua Quintal, son of Edward Quintal and Dinah Adams, on 21 March 1858 at Norfolk Island^G.² She died on 19 January 1917 at age 79 at Norfolk Island^G.²
     From 21 March 1858, her married name became Quintal.² She adopted Dinah Amabella Quintal.

     Diana McCoy was born on 11 August 1838 at Pitcairn Island^G.² She was the daughter of Matthew McCoy and Margaret Christian.¹ She married Josiah Chester Adams, son of George Adams and Polly Young, on 19 September 1858 at Norfolk Island^G.² She died on 7 September 1929 at age 91 at Norfolk Island^G.³
     She was also known as Dinah.³ From 19 September 1858, her married name became Adams.²

     Mary McCoy was born on 11 October 1841 at Pitcairn Island^G.² She is the daughter of Matthew McCoy and Margaret Christian.¹ She married Pardon Snell, son of Isaac Snell and Cynthia (?), on 19 July 1868 at Norfolk Island^G.² She died on 22 January 1930 at age 88 at Norfolk Island^G.²
     From 19 July 1868, her married name became Snell.²
     When her mother returned to Pitcairn, she stayed behind as she was about to be married.
In 1901, Mary was serving as the nursemaid for the family of the U.S. Consul to Tahiti, Mr. Doty.²

     Sir James Bunce, 1st Bt. was born circa 1600.¹ He was the son of James Bunce and Mary Holmedon.¹ He married Sarah Gipps, daughter of Thomas Gipps and Mary Sherwood, before 1628.¹ He died on 13 December 1670 at London, England^G.¹ His will (dated 12 December 1670) was proven (by probate) on 19 March 1673/74.¹
     He was a linen-draper at Gracechurch Street, London, England^G.¹ He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn on 6 August 1631.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1640 in the Trained Bands.¹ He held the office of Alderman of London between 20 August 1642 and 7 April 1649.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of London from 1643 to 1644.¹ Between 24 September 1647 and 8 June 1648 he was imprisoned as a Royalist Alderman.¹ In July 1650 his estates were sold under an Act of Parliament.¹ He was appointed Knight in May 1660 at The Hague, The Netherlands^G.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Bunce, of Otterden, Kent [England] in May 1660.¹ He held the office of Alderman of London on 4 September 1660.¹

     Sarah McCoy was born on 16 November 1843 at Pitcairn Island^G.² She was the daughter of Matthew McCoy and Margaret Christian.¹ She married Alphonso Driver Christian, son of Thursday October Christian and Mary Young, on 21 December 1864 at Pitcairn Island^G.³ She died on 15 April 1919 at age 75, from internal injuries sustained in an accident, with complications brought on by old age.^2,4 She was buried on 15 April 1919 at Pitcairn Island^G.²
     In 1859 she was ammong the first wave of returnees from Norfolk. After the return, Sarah, who was the oldest child in the first wave, and her brother, James, were worried that the children would turn away from learning. They gathered together every book they could find on the
island, along with slates and pencils, and opened a school in Nobb's former study. It had 6 or 7 girls, and one boy, and Sarah & James taught reading, writing, spelling, and arithmetic.² From 21 December 1864, her married name became Christian.²

     James Bunce married Mary Holmedon, daughter of George Holmedon, on 13 January 1595/96 at St. Benet's, Gracechurch Street, London, England^G. He died on 26 January 1631/32.¹

     William Henry Sydney Thompson married Ruth Constance Petch, daughter of Walter Henry Oliver Petch and Elizabeth Maud Young, in 1945 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.¹

     Isaac Godfrey Christian was born on 28 July 1849 at Pitcairn Island^G.³ He was the son of Isaac Christian and Miriam Young.¹ He married Frances Elizabeth Edwards, daughter of John Henry Edwards and Harriet Elizabeth Flowerday, on 2 July 1884 at Norfolk Island^G.⁴ He died on 9 March 1921 at age 71 at Horotui, New Zealand^G.⁴
     He was a ship owner and captain.⁴ Isaac Godfrey Christian usually went by his middle name of Godfrey.³ He grew up on Norfolk during the period when it was an important and busy whaling center. Eventually he owned his own ship and married the daughter of an American whaler.⁴
