     Her married name became Parnell. After her marriage, Anna Hedvig Sommerfelt was styled as Baroness Congleton on 12 October 1967.

     John Patrick Christian Parnell, 9th Baron Congleton was born on 17 March 1959.1 He is the son of Christopher Patrick Parnell, 8th Baron Congleton and Anna Hedvig Sommerfelt.2 He married Marjorie-Anne Hobdell, daughter of John Hobdell, in 1985.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Sheriff of the City of London between 2012 and 2013.3 He succeeded as the 9th Baron Congleton, of Congleton, co. Chester [U.K., 1841] on 11 December 2015. He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Parnell, of Rathleague, Queen's Co. [I., 1766] on 11 December 2015.
