     Sir George James Robertson Cooper, 2nd Bt. was born on 22 July 1890.2 He was the son of Sir George Alexander Cooper, 1st Bt. and Mary Emma Smith.3,2 He married Hon. Isolde Francis Borthwick, daughter of Archibald Patrick Thomas Borthwick, 20th Lord Borthwick and Susanna Mary McTaggart-Stewart, on 4 April 1923.1 He died on 5 January 1961 at age 70.3
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Southampton.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Southampton.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Southampton in 1937.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Scots Greys.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Cooper, of Hursley Park, Hursley, Hampshire [U.K., 1905] on 1 March 1940.1 On his death his baronetcy became extinct.2
