     Lady Juliet Margaret Smith was born on 9 September 1941.2 She was the daughter of Frederick Winston Furneaux Smith, 2nd Earl of Birkenhead and Hon. Sheila Berry.1 She married John Richard Townsend, son of Colonel Clarence Henry Southgate Townsend and Sophia Eleanor Kidston-Montgomerie, in 1970.2 She died on 29 November 2014 at age 73.3
     She was educated at Westonbirt School, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.3 She was educated at Somerville College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.3 She held the office of Lady-in-Waiting to HRH The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon between 1965 and 1971.1 From 1970, her married name became Townsend.1 She held the office of Extra Lady-in-Waiting to HRH The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon between 1971 and 2002.1 She was appointed Lieutenant, Royal Victorian Order (L.V.O.) in 1981.2 She held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire between 1998 and 2014.4 She lived in 2003 at Newbottle Manor, Banbury, Oxfordshire, England.2 She was appointed Dame Commander, Royal Victorian Order (D.C.V.O.) in 2014.4

     Captain Wittewronge Taylor was born circa 1719.1 He was the son of Reverend Thomas Taylor and Mary Wittewronge.2 He married Catherine Vincent, daughter of Thomas Vincent, on 28 September 1756.2 He died circa February 1760, drowned when H.M.S. Ramilles foundered on rocks near Bolt Head.1
     He fought in the Battle of Havana on 1 October 1748.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.1
