     Edward Astley was the son of Thomas Astley and Frances Deane.² He married Elizabeth Astley, daughter of Jacob Astley, 1st Baron Astley of Reading and Agnes Imple.³ He died on 15 March 1653.¹

     From 6 February 1661, her married name became Astley.¹

     Sir Philip Wodehouse, 3rd Bt. was baptised on 24 July 1608.² He was the son of Sir Thomas Wodehouse, 2nd Bt. and Blanche Hunsdon.^2,3 He married Lucy Cotton, daughter of Sir Thomas Cotton, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Howard, on 10 July 1634 at Lambeth, Surrey, England^G.² He died on 6 May 1681 at age 72.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk between 1654 and 1658.² He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Wodehouse, of Kimberley, co. Norfolk [E., 1611] on 18 March 1658.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Thetford in 1660.²

     Lucy Cotton was the daughter of Sir Thomas Cotton, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Howard.^1,2 She married Sir Philip Wodehouse, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Wodehouse, 2nd Bt. and Blanche Hunsdon, on 10 July 1634 at Lambeth, Surrey, England^G.² She died on 26 June 1684.²
     From 10 July 1634, her married name became Wodehouse.

     Sir Thomas Cotton, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1594.³ He was the son of Sir Robert Cotton, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Brocas.⁴ He married, firstly, Margaret Howard, daughter of Lord William Howard and Elizabeth Dacre, before 1620.^5,6 He and Alice Constable obtained a marriage license on 17 April 1640.⁴ He died on 13 May 1662.³ He was buried at Conington, Cambridgeshire, England^G.³ He died intestate and his estate was administered on 25 January 1674/75.⁶
     He matriculated at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 16 April 1613.⁶ He graduated from Broadgates Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 24 October 1616 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)⁶ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Great Marlow from 1624 to 1625.⁶ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. German's from 1628 to 1629.⁶ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Cotton, of Connington, co. Huntingdon [E., 1611] on 6 May 1631.⁴ He held the office of Sheriff of Huntingdonshire from 1636 to 1637.⁶ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Huntingdonshire between April 1640 and May 1640.^4,6 He lived at Conington, Cambridgeshire, England.⁷

     Jacob Astley was born circa 1665.¹ He was the son of Sir Jacob Astley, 1st Bt. and Blanche Wodehouse.¹ He died on 9 June 1681 at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was buried at Melton Constable, Norfolk, England^G.¹
     He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 15 June 1680.¹

     Sir Philip Astley, 2nd Bt. was born on 20 July 1667.¹ He was the son of Sir Jacob Astley, 1st Bt. and Blanche Wodehouse.¹ He was baptised on 30 July 1667 at Melton Constable, Norfolk, England^G.¹ He married Elizabeth Bransby, daughter of Thomas Bransby and Elizabeth (?), on 2 December 1690 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, England^G.¹ He died on 7 July 1739 at age 71.¹ He was buried on 12 August 1739 at Melton Constable, Norfolk, England^G.¹ His will was proven (by probate) on 4 August 1739.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Astley, of Hill Morton, co. Warwick [E., 1660] on 17 August 1729.¹ His last will was dated 19 March 1738. He had other sons, who died without issue.²
