Sir Andrew Clarence Francis Armstrong, 6th Bt. was born on 1 May 1907.1 He was the son of Edmund Clarence Richard Armstrong and Mary Frances Cruise.1 He married, firstly, Phyllis Marguerite Waithman, daughter of Lt.-Col. Roland Henry Waithman, on 8 January 1930.1 He married, secondly, Laurel May Stuart, daughter of Alfred Wellington Stuart, on 17 June 1932.1 He died on 21 December 1997 at age 90.1
He was educated at St. Edmund's, Ware, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Christ's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1928 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was a colonial administrator between 1929 and 1961.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1959.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Armstrong, of Gallen Priory, King's Co. [U.K., 1841] on 27 January 1987.1

Captain Andrew Charles Armstrong was born on 5 February 1845.1 He was the son of Sir Andrew Armstrong, 1st Bt. and Frances Fullerton.1 He married, firstly, Alice Maria Murdoch, daughter of Sir Thomas William Clinton Murdoch, on 5 February 1874.1 He married, secondly, Annie Beatrice Lorimer, daughter of John Lorimer, on 25 July 1888.2 He died on 5 October 1895 at age 50.1
