Adelaide Harriet Brooke-Pechell was the daughter of Vice-Admiral Sir George Richard Brooke-Pechell, 4th Bt. and Hon. Katherine Annabella Bishopp.1,2 She married Sir Alfred Plantagenet Frederick Charles Somerset, son of Colonel Lord John Thomas Henry Somerset and Lady Catherine Annesley, on 24 September 1857.1 She died on 30 June 1920.1

Vice-Admiral Sir George Richard Brooke-Pechell, 4th Bt. was born on 30 June 1789.2 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Thomas Brooke-Pechell, 2nd Bt. and Charlotte Clavering.2 He married Hon. Katherine Annabella Bishopp, daughter of Cecil Bisshopp, 12th Baron Zouche (of Hayngworth) and Harriet Anne Southwell, on 1 August 1826.3 He died on 29 June 1860 at age 70.3
He was commissioned in 1803 with the rank of offier, in the service of the Royal Navy.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Pechell, of Paglesham, co. Essex [G.B., 1797] on 3 November 1849.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Brighton.1 He was Gentleman-Usher of the Privy Chamber.2 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in 1858.2
