He was the son of Tommaso di Savoia-Genova, 2nd Duca di Genova and Isabella Marie Elisabeth Prinzessin von Bayern.¹ He married Lydia von Recklinghausen, daughter of Engelbert IX Herzog von Arenberg and Princess Hedwige de Ligne, on 30 April 1928 at Turin, Italy^G. He died on 7 September 1990 at age 95.
     He was given the name of Filiberto Lodovico Massimiliano Emanuele Maria at birth.² He gained the title of Principe Filiberto di Savoia. He gained the title of 4th Duca di Genova.¹ He gained the title of Duca di Pistoia.¹

     Lydia von Recklinghausen was born on 1 April 1905 at Brussels, Belgium^G. She was the daughter of Engelbert IX Herzog von Arenberg and Princess Hedwige de Ligne.¹ She married Filiberto di Savoia-Genova, Duca di Genova, son of Tommaso di Savoia-Genova, 2nd Duca di Genova and Isabella Marie Elisabeth Prinzessin von Bayern, on 30 April 1928 at Turin, Italy^G. She died on 23 July 1977 at age 72.
     She was given the name of Lydia Hedwige Eleonore Charlotte Maria Melchiorre Antoinette Josephine von Arenberg at birth.

     Captain Hon. Ralph Frederick Vane was born on 8 June 1891.¹ He was the son of Henry de Vere Vane, 9th Baron Barnard of Barnard's Castle and Lady Catherine Sarah Cecil.¹ He married Kathleen Airini Mair, daughter of Captain Gilbert Mair and Eleanor Katherine Sperrey, on 5 June 1917.¹ He died on 6 June 1928 at age 36, without issue.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Durham Light Infantry.¹

     Kathleen Airini Mair was the daughter of Captain Gilbert Mair and Eleanor Katherine Sperrey.^1,3 She married Captain Hon. Ralph Frederick Vane, son of Henry de Vere Vane, 9th Baron Barnard of Barnard's Castle and Lady Catherine Sarah Cecil, on 5 June 1917.¹ She died on 7 February 1965.¹
     From 5 June 1917, her married name became Vane.¹

     Maria Isabella di Savoia-Genova, Principessa di Savoia-Genova was born on 23 June 1943 at Rome, Italy^G. She is the daughter of Eugenio di Savoia-Genova, Duca di Genova and Lucia Maria Raniera di Borbone, Principessa di Borbone delle Due Sicilie.¹ She married Alberto Frioli, son of Guido Frioli, Conte di Rezzano and Vittoria Fabbri, on 29 April 1971.
     She gained the title of Principessa Isabella di Savoia-Genova. Her married name became Frioli.

She is the daughter of Umberto II di Savoia-Carignano, Re d'Italia and Marie José de Belgique, Princesse de Belgique.¹ She married Alexander Karageorgievich, Prince of Yugoslavia, son of Paul Karageorgievich, Prince of Yugoslavia and Olga zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Greece and Denmark, on 12 February 1955 at Cascais, Portugal^G. She and Alexander Karageorgievich, Prince of Yugoslavia were divorced in 1967.³ She married, secondly, Michel di Borbone, Principe di Parma, son of René Carlo Maria Guiseppe di Borbone, Principe di Parma and Margrethe Françoise zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Denmark, in 2003.⁴
     She was given the name of Maria Pia Elena Elisabetta Margherita Milena Mafalda Ludovica Telca Gennera at birth.⁴ She gained the title of Principessa Maria Pia di Savoia. She gained the title of Principessa Maria Pia d'Italia.³

     Alexander Karageorgievich, Prince of Yugoslavia was born on 13 August 1924 at White Lodge, Richmond Park, Richmond, London, England^G. He was the son of Paul Karageorgievich, Prince of Yugoslavia and Olga zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Greece and Denmark.³ He and Maria Pia di Savoia-Carignano, Principessa d'Italia were divorced in 1967.¹ He married Maria Pia di Savoia-Carignano, Principessa d'Italia, daughter of Umberto II di Savoia-Carignano, Re d'Italia and Marie José de Belgique, Princesse de Belgique, on 12 February 1955 at Cascais, Portugal^G.      He gained the title of Prince Alexander of Yugoslavia.¹

     Captain Gilbert Mair was born on 10 January 1843 at Whangarei, New Zealand^G.² He was the son of Gilbert Mair and Elizabeth Gilbert Puckey.² He married Eleanor Katherine Sperrey on 19 September 1888 at Wellington, New Zealand^G.² He died on 29 November 1923 at age 80 at Tauranga, New Zealand^G.³ He was buried at Te Arawa Cemetery, Ohinemutu, Rotorua, New Zealand^G.³
