He married Elisabeth zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Greece and Denmark, daughter of Nicholaos zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Prince of Greece and Denmark and Elena Vladimirovna Romanov, Grand Duchess of Russia, on 10 January 1934 at Chapel of Seefield Castle, near Munchen, Bayern, Germany^G. He died on 14 May 1967 at age 66.
     He gained the title of Graf zu Törring-Jettenbach.¹ Karl Theodor Graf zu Törring-Jettenbach also went by the nick-name of Toto.
