He was the son of Christoph Martin Maximilian Friedrich Graf von Degenfeld-Schonburg and Auguste Gräfin von Normann-Ehrenfels. He married Gabriele Baronin von Riese-Stallburg on 23 September 1869 at Wojkau, Bohemia^G. He died on 11 May 1888 at age 50 at Stuttgart, Baden-Württemburg, Germany.

     Konrad Freidrich August Christoph Gustav Adolf Eberhard Graf von Degenfeld-Schonburg was born on 16 May 1875. He was the son of Kurt August Ferdinand Christoph Graf von Degenfeld-Schonburg and Gabriele Baronin von Riese-Stallburg.      Gabriele Philippine Therese Ottolinde Leopoldine Luise Susanne Friederike Gräfin von Degenfeld-Schonburg was born on 4 April 1874. She was the daughter of Kurt August Ferdinand Christoph Graf von Degenfeld-Schonburg and Gabriele Baronin von Riese-Stallburg.
