     Myles Fitzhugh Longfield Ponsonby, 12th Earl of Bessborough was born on 16 February 1941.1 He is the son of Arthur Mountifort Longfield Ponsonby, 11th Earl of Bessborough and Patricia Minnigerode.1 He married Alison Marjorie Storey, daughter of William Storey, in 1972.1
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1,2 He was appointed Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants (F.C.A.)2 He was styled as Viscount Duncannon between 1993 and 2002.1 He succeeded as the 12th Baron Ponsonby of Sysonby, co. Leicester [G.B., 1749] on 5 April 2002.2 He succeeded as the 12th Earl of Bessborough [I., 1739] on 5 April 2002.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baron Duncannon of Bessborough, co. Kilkenny [U.K., 1834] on 5 April 2002.2 He succeeded as the 13th Viscount Duncannon, of the fort of Duncannon, co. Wexford [I., 1723] on 5 April 2002.2 He succeeded as the 13th Baron Bessborough, of Bessborough, co. Kilkenny [I., 1721] on 5 April 2002.2 He lived in 2003 at Stansted Park, Rowlands Castle, Hampshire, EnglandG.2

     Lady Sarah Ponsonby was born on 13 October 1943.1 She was the daughter of Arthur Mountifort Longfield Ponsonby, 11th Earl of Bessborough and Patricia Minnigerode.1 She died on 13 March 2010 at age 66, unmarried.2
     She was a painter and sculptress.1 She wrote the book The Garden Game, published 1983.1 She wrote the book The Cooking Game, published 1986.1 She lived in 2003 at La Grande Maison, Vieure, Allier, FranceG.1

     Madeleine Lola Margaret Grand is the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Laurence Douglas Grand.1 She married Arthur Mountifort Longfield Ponsonby, 11th Earl of Bessborough, son of Major Hon. Cyril Myles Brabazon Ponsonby and Rita Narcissa Longfield, on 17 December 1963.1
     She was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.)2 Her married name became Ponsonby. After her marriage, Madeleine Lola Margaret Grand was styled as Countess of Bessborough on 5 December 1993. She lived in 2003 at Roche Court, East Winterslow, Wiltshire, EnglandG.2
