He married, firstly, Jean Barbara Hamilton, daughter of Lord Ernest William Hamilton and Pamela Campbell, on 8 June 1921.¹ He and Jean Barbara Hamilton were divorced in 1944.¹ He married, secondly, Prudence Audrey Haggie, daughter of William Haggie, on 12 December 1944.² He died on 5 November 1969 at age 69.¹
