He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain between 1930 and 1940 in the 12th Lancers SRO, with East Riding Yorkshire Yeomanry.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Leslie, of Wardis, co. Aberdeen [N.S., 1625] on 16 June 1937.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he became a POW.¹ On his death, the baronetcy once more became dormant.¹

     Colette Kathleen Cregan was the daughter of George Theodore Cregan. She married, firstly, Lt.-Cdr. Trevor Russell-Walling.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Henry John Lindores Leslie, 9th Bt., son of W/Cdr. Sir Norman Roderick Alexander David Leslie, 8th Bt. and Betty Elise Sewell, on 12 July 1950.¹ She died on 30 August 2013.²

     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.²
