Sir Hugh Charles Clifford1

     Sir Hugh Charles Clifford was born on 5 March 1866.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Henry Hugh Clifford, V.C. and Josephine Elizabeth Anstice.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Lydia Rosabelle Bonham, daughter of Edward Bonham, on 24 September 1910.1 He married, firstly, Minna à Beckett, daughter of Gilbert à Beckett, on 15 April 1896.1 He died on 18 December 1941 at age 75.1
     In 1883 he joined Malay Civil Service.1 He held the office of Resident of Pahang in 1896.1 He held the office of Governor of Labuan between 1899 and 1901.1 He held the office of Governor of British North Borneo between 1899 and 1901.1 He held the office of Resident of Pahang in 1901.1 He held the office of Colonial Secretary of Trinidad and Tobago between 1903 and 1907.1 He held the office of Colonial Secretary of Ceylon between 1907 and 1912.1 He held the office of Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Gold Coast

     Major Cecil Edward Trafford was born in 1884. He was the son of Edward Southwell Trafford and Hon. Eleanor Mary Petre.2 He married Monica Elizabeth Mary Clifford, daughter of Sir Hugh Charles Clifford and Minna à Beckett, on 9 June 1925.1 He died on 15 December 1948.
     He was educated at The Oratory School, Edgbaston, Warwickshire, England.3 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1

     Monica Elizabeth Mary Clifford was born on 4 May 1903.1 She was the daughter of Sir Hugh Charles Clifford and Minna à Beckett.2 She married, firstly, Major Cecil Edward Trafford, son of Edward Southwell Trafford and Hon. Eleanor Mary Petre, on 9 June 1925.1 She married, secondly, Major Richard Desiré Girouard, son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Edward Percy Cranwell Girouard and Mary Gwendolen Solomon, on 10 October 1952.1 She died on 11 January 1965 at age 61.1
     From 9 June 1925, her married name became Trafford. From 10 October 1952, her married name became Girouard.

Sir Henry Hugh Clifford, V.C. and Josephine Elizabeth Anstice, on 24 September 1910.1 She died on 30 October 1945.1
     From before 1910, her married name became Ducarel de la Pasture.1 Her married name became Clifford. She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1
