     Sir Frederick Rowland, 1st Bt. was born on 25 December 1874.¹ He was the son of John Edwin Rowland.¹ He married Alice Blanche Reynolds, daughter of William Nicholas Reynolds, on 24 June 1903.¹ He died on 13 November 1959 at age 84.¹
     He was educated at Tower School, Taunton, Somerset, England.¹ He was Commissioner of Taxes for teh City of London.¹ He was founder of R. Rowland and Co, chartered accountants.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of London between 1938 and 1939.² He was appointed Knight Bachelor on 24 October 1939.¹ He held the office of Lord Mayor of London between 1949 and 1950.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Rowland, of Taunton, co. Somerset [U.K.] on 20 November 1950.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants (F.C.A.)¹

     Sir Wentworth Lowe Rowland, 2nd Bt. was born on 7 November 1909.¹ He was the son of Sir Frederick Rowland, 1st Bt. and Alice Blanche Reynolds.¹ He married Violet Mary Elizabeth Macbeth Robertson, daughter of Andrew Charles Macbeth Robertson, on 9 April 1947.¹ He died on 19 September 1970 at age 60.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1939 in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945.¹ He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in 1944 in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants (F.C.A.)¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Rowland, of Taunton, co. Somerset [U.K., 1950] on 13 November 1959.¹ On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.²

     Alice Blanche Reynolds is the daughter of William Nicholas Reynolds.¹ She married Sir Frederick Rowland, 1st Bt., son of John Edwin Rowland, on 24 June 1903.¹
     From 24 June 1903, her married name became Rowland.¹
