     Sir John Lauder of Fountainhall, 2nd Bt. was baptised on 2 August 1646.² He was the son of Sir John Lauder of Fountainhall, 1st Bt. and Isabel Ellis.³ He married, firstly, Janet Ramsay, daughter of Sir Andrew Ramsay, Lord Abbotshall and Janet Craw, on 21 January 1669.² He married, secondly, Marion Anderson, daughter of Reverend John Anderson, on 26 March 1687 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.^2,4 He died on 20 September 1722 at age 76.²
     He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1668.² He was appointed Knight circa 1680.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1683.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the Haddington Constabulary [Scotland] from 1685 to 1686.² He held the office of a Lord of Session in 1689.¹ He was styled as Lord Fountainhall [Scottish Law Lord] in 1689.² He held the office of Lord of Justiciary between 1690 and 1707.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the Haddington Constabulary [Scotland] between 1690 and 1707.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Lauder, of Fountainhall, co. Haddington [N.S., 1690] in 1692.²

     Mary Frances Dundas was born on 30 October 1864 at Calcutta, India.² She was the daughter of Henry Robert Duncan Dundas and Hon. Catherine Anne Carrington Napier.³ She was baptised on 21 November 1864 at Calcutta, India.^4,2 She married Robert Finnie McEwen of Marchmont and Bardrochat, son of Reverend John McEwen and Isabella Finnie, on 20 July 1893.¹ She died on 8 December 1944 at age 80.⁵
     From 20 July 1893, her married name became McEwen.

     Henry Robert Duncan Dundas was born on 4 February 1823.² He was the son of James Dundas of Dundas and Hon. Mary Tufton Duncan.³ He married Hon. Catherine Anne Carrington Napier, daughter of Field Marshal Robert Cornelis Napier, 1st Baron Napier of Magdala and Anne Sarah Pearse, on 12 March 1863.² He died on 12 August 1912 at age 89.²
     He lived at Glenesk, Angus, Scotland^G.¹

     Hon. Catherine Anne Carrington Napier was born on 12 October 1841.¹ She was the daughter of Field Marshal Robert Cornelis Napier, 1st Baron Napier of Magdala and Anne Sarah Pearse.^1,2 She married Henry Robert Duncan Dundas, son of James Dundas of Dundas and Hon. Mary Tufton Duncan, on 12 March 1863.² She died on 3 January 1929 at age 87.²
     Her married name became Dundas.

     Field Marshal Robert Cornelis Napier, 1st Baron Napier of Magdala was born on 5 December 1810 at Sri Lanka^G.¹ He was the son of Major Charles Frederick Napier and Catherine Carrington.² He married, firstly, Anne Sarah Pearse, daughter of Dr. George Pearse and Anne Sarah McCulloch, on 3 September 1840.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Cecilia Scott, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Edward William Smythe Scott and Eliza Whish, on 2 April 1861.¹ He died on 14 January 1890 at age 79 at London, England.¹ He was buried on 21 January 1890 at St. Paul's Cathedral, London, England.

Palatine of Chester [U.K.] on 17 July 1868.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1869.¹ He was Commander-in-Chief of the India between 1870 and 1876.¹ He gained the rank of General in 1874.¹ He was Colonel of the Royal Engineers between 1874 and 1890.¹ He held the office of Governor of Gibraltar between 1876 and 1882.¹ He was awarded the Grand Cross, Charles III of Spain in 1879.¹ He gained the rank of Field Marshal in 1883.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of the Tower Hamlets between 1887 and 1889.¹ He held the office of Constable of the Tower of London between 1887 and 1890.¹

     Anne Sarah Pearse was born on 1 October 1820 at Cork, County Cork, Ireland.¹ She was the daughter of Dr. George Pearse and Anne Sarah McCulloch.¹ She married Field Marshal Robert Cornelis Napier, 1st Baron Napier of Magdala, son of Major Charles Frederick Napier and Catherine Carrington, on 3 September 1840.² She died on 30 December 1849 at age 29 at Ferozepore, India.^2,1
     Her married name became Napier.

     Dr. George Pearse was born in 1797 at Rathangan, County Kildare, Ireland.¹ He is the son of Elias Pearse and Frances Maria Langford.¹ He married Anne Sarah McCulloch, daughter of James McCulloch, in 1818 at County Cork, Ireland.¹ He died on 28 March 1885 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.¹
     He was in the Honourable East India Company Service.² He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)² He was Inspector-General of Hospitals, Madras Army in 1824.¹ He held the office of Honorary Physician to HM Queen Victoria.¹

     Mary Cecilia Scott was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Edward William Smythe Scott and Eliza Whish.^1,2 She married Field Marshal Robert Cornelis Napier, 1st Baron Napier of Magdala, son of Major Charles Frederick Napier and Catherine Carrington, on 2 April 1861.³ She died on 18 December 1930.¹
     She was awarded the Imperial Order of the Crown of India (C.I.)¹ Her married name became Napier. After her marriage, Mary Cecilia Scott was styled as Baroness Napier of Magdala on 17 July 1868.

     Richard Osbert Lumley, 13th Earl of Scarbrough was born on 18 May 1973.¹ He is the son of Richard Aldred Lumley, 12th Earl of Scarbrough and Lady Elizabeth Anne Ramsay.¹
     He was styled as Viscount Lumley between 1973 and 2004.¹ He succeeded as the 14th Viscount Lumley of Waterford [I., 1628] on 23 March 2004.
