     F/Lt. David McKenzie Chalmers is the son of Dr. Robert Miller Chalmers.¹ He married Hon. Lydia Elizabeth James MacDermott, daughter of John Clarke MacDermott, Baron MacDermott and Louise Palmer Johnston, on 5 September 1964.¹
     He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force.¹
