Rowland Eustace, 2nd Viscount Baltinglass was born circa 1505.1 He was the son of Thomas Eustace, 1st Viscount Baltinglass and Margaret Talbot.1 He married Joan Butler, daughter of James Butler, 10th Baron Dunboyne and Lady Joan Butler, in 1541.2 He died on 31 March 1578.1
He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Baltinglass, co. Wicklow [I., 1541] on 31 July 1549.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Kilcullen, co. Kildare [I., 1535] on 31 July 1549.1 On 26 October 1549 he had livery of his estates.3 On 11 June 1567 he was ordered to be sent a prisoner to London.1
