Reverend Sir Hugh Dacre Barrett-Lennard, 6th Bt. was born on 27 June 1917.1 He was the son of Sir Fiennes Cecil Arthur Barrett-Lennard and Winifrede Mignon Berlyn.1 He died on 21 June 2007 at age 89, unmarried.
He was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Pontifical Beda College, Rome, ItalyG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1940 in the London Scottish.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Essex Regiment.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was ordained in 1950 as a Roman Catholic priest.1 He was an Oratorian priest. He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Barrett-Lennard, of Belhus, Essex [U.K., 1801] on 28 December 1977.1 He lived in 2003 at Oratory School, South Kensington, London, EnglandG.1
