     Elizabeth Loftus was born on 8 December 1824 at County Kildare, Ireland.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. William Francis Bentinck Loftus and Margaret Harriet Langrishe.¹ She married Edward Ralph Charles Sheldon, son of Edward Ralph Charles Sheldon, on 9 January 1855 at Wellesbourne, Warwickshire, England.¹ She married General Sir Archibald Little, son of Archibald Little and Agnes Oliver, in 1870.¹ She died in 1888 at Upton House, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, England.¹
     From 9 January 1855, her married name became Sheldon.¹ From 1870, her married name became Little.¹

     Edward Ralph Charles Sheldon is the son of Edward Ralph Charles Sheldon.² He married Elizabeth Loftus, daughter of Lt.-Gen. William Francis Bentinck Loftus and Margaret Harriet Langrishe, on 9 January 1855 at Wellesbourne, Warwickshire, England.¹

He gained the rank of Captain in the 23rd Regiment of Fusiliers. He lived at Rushton Hall, Kettering, Northamptonshire, England.¹
