     Commander Erskine Knollys Heveningham St. Aubyn was born on 25 September 1898.1 He was the son of Colonel Edward St. Aubyn and Ada Mary White-Thomson.1 He died on 2 March 1942 at age 43, killed in action, during the Battle of the Java Seas.1,2
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)1 He fought in the Second World War.1
