     Lady Jane Elizabeth Harley was the daughter of Edward Harley, 5th Earl of Oxford and Jane Elizabeth Scott. She married Henry Bickersteth, 1st Baron Langdale, son of Henry Bickersteth and Elizabeth Batty, on 17 August 1836.1 She died on 1 September 1872.
     From 17 August 1836, her married name became Bickersteth.1

     Alfred Harley, 6th Earl of Oxford is the son of Edward Harley, 5th Earl of Oxford and Jane Elizabeth Scott. He married Eliza Nugent, daughter of George Thomas John Nugent, 1st and last Marquess of Westmeath, in 1831.1
     On his death, his title became extinct.2 He gained the title of 6th Earl of Oxford.

     Henry Bickersteth, 1st Baron Langdale was born on 18 June 1783 at Kirkby Lonsdale, Lancashire, England.1 He was the son of Henry Bickersteth and Elizabeth Batty.1 He married Lady Jane Elizabeth Harley, daughter of Edward Harley, 5th Earl of Oxford and Jane Elizabeth Scott, on 17 August 1836.1 He died on 18 April 1851 at age 67 at Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England.1
     He was appointed King's Counsel (K.C.) in May 1827.1 He held the office of Master of the Rolls between 1836 and 1851.1 He was created 1st Baron Langdale, of Langdale in the County of Westmoreland [U.K.] on 23 January 1836. On his death, his title became extinct.1
