     Hon. Anthony Henry Ashley-Cooper was born on 5 May 1807.1 He was the son of Cropley Ashley-Cooper, 6th Earl of Shaftesbury and Lady Anne Spencer.1 He married Jane Frances Pattison, daughter of Roland Pattison, on 2 October 1835.1 He died on 30 November 1858 at age 51.1
     Hon. Anthony Henry Ashley-Cooper usually went by his middle name of Henry.1 He gained the rank of Army Captain.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dorchester.1

     Jane Frances Pattison was the daughter of Roland Pattison.1 She married Hon. Anthony Henry Ashley-Cooper, son of Cropley Ashley-Cooper, 6th Earl of Shaftesbury and Lady Anne Spencer, on 2 October 1835.1 She died in 1893.1
     From 2 October 1835, her married name became Ashley-Cooper.1
