John Henry Montagu Douglas Scott was born on 12 April 1911.1 He was the son of Lord George William Montagu Douglas Scott and Lady Elizabeth Emily Manners.1 He married Anne Peace Arabella Mackintosh, daughter of Captain Angus Alexander Mackintosh of Mackintosh, younger and Lady Maud Louisa Emma Cavendish, on 3 February 1954.1 He died in 1991.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1940.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 9th Lancers.1 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Roxburghshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Roxburghshire.1

John Henry Montagu Douglas Scott, son of Lord George William Montagu Douglas Scott and Lady Elizabeth Emily Manners, on 3 February 1954.1
     Anne Peace Arabella Mackintosh usually went by her middle name of Arbell.1 She held the position of 30th Chief of the Clan Chattan from between 1938 and 1942.2 She was a driver for the Red Cross during the Second World War in 1941.2 From 3 January 1942, her married name became Warre. From 3 February 1954, her married name became Montagu Douglas Scott.2 She lived in 2003 at Kirklands, Ancrum, Roxburghshire, ScotlandG.1
