     Major Richard Mark Chaplin was born on 24 December 1919.² He was the son of Vere Chaplin and Margaret Fenwick.^1,2 He married Susan Frances Mary Ridley, daughter of Mervyn Adrian Touchet Ridley and Sybil Henrietta Fergusson, on 20 December 1949.¹ He died on 4 April 1973 at age 53.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.² He gained the rank of Major in the Coldstream Guards.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945, where he was mentioned in dispatches.² He was director of Hover Air Ltd.²

     Vere Chaplin was born on 6 December 1874.² He was the son of Cecil Chaplin and Emily Cecilia Boyle.² He married Margaret Fenwick, daughter of Mark Fenwick, on 9 June 1910.² He died on 4 October 1964 at age 89.²
     He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Horse Guards.² He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919.² He held the office of High Sheriff of Rutland in 1945.² He lived at Clipsham House, Clipsham, Oakham, Rutland, England.¹
