     Sophia Erskine was baptised on 9 January 1698 at Kingsbarns, Fife, Scotland.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Alexander Erskine of Cambo, 2nd Bt. and Lady Mary Erskine.¹ She married Sir William Sharp, 4th Bt., son of Sir William Sharp, 1st Bt. and Margaret Erskine, in 1734.² She died circa 3 June 1735.² She was buried on 6 June 1735.²
     From 1734, her married name became Sharp.²
