     Agnes Leakey was born on 8 May 1917 at Limuru, Kenya.1 She was the daughter of Arundell Gray Arundell Leakey and Elizabeth Laing.1 She married Bremer Hoffmeyr in 1946.1 She died on 1 December 2006 at age 89 at Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa.1
     From 1946, her married name became Hoffmeyr.1 She wrote the book Beyond Violence, published 1990.1
