General Sir Henry James Warre was born on 12 January 1819.1,2 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir William Warre and Selina Anna Maling.1 He married Georgiana Lukin, daughter of Robert Lukin, in 1855.1 He died in April 1899 at age 80.1,2 He was buried at St. Mary the Virgin Churchyard, Buckland, Surrey, England.2
He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1 He fought in the Crimean War.1 He fought in the New Zealand Wars.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Wiltshire Regiment.1
