     Lydia Mariana Douglas was born on 14 April 1769.3 She was the daughter of Admiral Sir Charles Douglas, 1st Bt. and Sarah Wood.1 She was baptised on 20 April 1769 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands.3 She married Reverend Richard Bingham, son of Reverend Isaac Moody Bingham and Catherine Tonge, on 10 November 1788 at St. James, Bristol, England.1,3 She died in 1853.3
     From 10 November 1788, her married name became Bingham.1 Her father disinherited her for marrying against his wishes.2
