Sir Robin Horace Walford Dunn was born on 16 January 1918.1 He was the son of Brigadier Keith Frederick William Dunn and Charlotte Ava Kays.1 He married, secondly, Cicely Joan Stafford-King-Harman, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Cecil William Francis Stafford-King-Harman, 2nd Bt. and Sarah Beatrice Acland.1 He married, firstly, Judith Allan Pilcher, daughter of Sir Gonne St. Clair Pilcher, in 1941.1 He died on 5 March 2014 at age 96 at Lynch Mead, Allerford, Minehead, Somerset, England.1
He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England.1 He fought in the Second World War, in France, Belgium and North Africa.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1944.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1948 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) in 1962.1 He was Honorary Commandant of the Royal Artillery in 1980.1 He held the office of Lord Justice of Appeal between 1980 and 1984.1
