     Henry Francis Hope Pelham-Clinton-Hope, 8th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne was born on 3 February 1866.4 He was the son of Henry Pelham Alexander Pelham-Clinton, 6th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne and Henrietta Adela Hope.4 He married, firstly, Mary Augusta Yohé, daughter of William Yohé, on 27 November 1894.4 He married, secondly, Olive Muriel Thompson, daughter of George Horatio Thompson, on 27 February 1904.1 He and Mary Augusta Yohé were divorced in 1902.4 He died on 20 April 1941 at age 75.4
     He was given the name of Henry Francis Hope Pelham-Clinton at birth.1 On 7 April 1887 his name was legally changed to Henry Francis Hope Pelham-Clinton-Hope by Royal Licence.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Nottinghamshire Yeomanry Cavalry.4 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Monaghan in 1891.4 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Monaghan in 1917.4 He succeeded as the 15th Earl of Lincoln [E., 1572] on 30 May 1928.1 He succeeded as the 8th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne on 30 May 1928.1

     Olive Muriel Thompson was the daughter of George Horatio Thompson.1 She married Henry Francis Hope Pelham-Clinton-Hope, 8th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne, son of Henry Pelham Alexander Pelham-Clinton, 6th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne and Henrietta Adela Hope, on 27 February 1904.1 She died on 30 August 1912.1
     From 27 February 1904, her married name became Pelham-Clinton-Hope.1

     Henry Pelham Alexander Pelham-Clinton, 6th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne was born on 25 January 1834.2 He was the son of Henry Pelham Pelham-Clinton, 5th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne and Lady Susan Harriet Catherine Hamilton.3 He married Henrietta Adela Hope, daughter of Henry Thomas Hope and Anne Adèle Bichet, on 11 February 1861.2 He died on 22 February 1879 at age 45 at London, EnglandG.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Newark between 1857 and 1859.2 He succeeded as the 13th Earl of Lincoln [E., 1572] on 18 October 1864.3 He succeeded as the 6th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne on 18 October 1864.

     Mary Augusta Yohé was the daughter of William Yohé.2 She married Henry Francis Hope Pelham-Clinton-Hope, 8th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne, son of Henry Pelham Alexander Pelham-Clinton, 6th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne and Henrietta Adela Hope, on 27 November 1894.1 She and Henry Francis Hope Pelham-Clinton-Hope, 8th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne were divorced in 1902.1 She died on 27 August 1938.1

     Henrietta Adela Hope was born illegitimately on 11 April 1843.1 She was the daughter of Henry Thomas Hope and Anne Adèle Bichet.1 She married, firstly, Henry Pelham Alexander Pelham-Clinton, 6th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne, son of Henry Pelham Pelham-Clinton, 5th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne and Lady Susan Harriet Catherine Hamilton, on 11 February 1861.3 She married, secondly, Thomas Theobald Hohler, son of Reverend Frederick Williams Hohler and Jane Harriet Theobald, on 7 April 1880.1 She died on 8 May 1913 at age 70 at The Oaks, Woodford Wells, Essex, EnglandG.
     Her married name became Pelham-Clinton. After her marriage, Henrietta Adela Hope was styled as Duchess of Newcastle-under-Lyne on 18 October 1864. From 7 April 1880, her married name became Hohler.1

     Henry Pelham Archibald Douglas Pelham-Clinton, 7th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne was born on 28 September 1864.2 He was the son of Henry Pelham Alexander Pelham-Clinton, 6th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne and Henrietta Adela Hope.3 He married Kathleen Florence May Candy, daughter of Major Henry Augustus Candy and Hon. Frances Kathleen Westenra, on 20 February 1889.2 He died on 30 May 1928 at age 63, without issue.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He succeeded as the 7th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyne on 22 February 1879.
