     Lt.-Col. David John Younger was born on 23 October 1939.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Ralph Younger and Greta Mary Turnbull.² He married Jennifer Ann Dewey, daughter of Thomas Lewis Dewey and Josephine May Sadler Stockton, on 6 December 1966.¹ He died on 3 August 2017 at age 77.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Queen's Own Hussars.¹ He was admitted to Royal Company of Archers.¹ He lived in 2003 at Ravenswood, Melrose, Roxburghshire, Scotland.¹
