Robert Percy Frith White was born on 31 May 1896.1 He was the son of Herbert Meadows Frith White and Annie Laura Borrett.2 He married, secondly, Joyce Margaret Embery, daughter of Stanley Unwin Embery, on 14 October 1954.1 He married, firstly, Eleanor Clare Hargrave Sharpe, daughter of Venerable Ernest Newton Sharpe, on 3 April 1919.1 He died on 16 January 1981 at age 84.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1918.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King's Own Royal Regiment.1 He fought in the Second World War.1
