Sir Robert Fraser Turing of Foveran, 8th Bt. was born on 29 August 1827.1 He was the son of Sir James Henry Turing of Foveran, 7th Bt. and Antoinette Ferrier.2 He married, firstly, Catherine Georgiana Davidson, daughter of Walter Stevenson Davidson, on 29 June 1853.1 He married, secondly, Ethel Sophia Perry-Ayscough, daughter of Reverend George B. Perry-Ayscough and Hon. Emma Sophia Parnell, on 22 August 1906.1 He died on 4 January 1913 at age 85.1
He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Turing, of Foveran, Aberdeenshire [N.S., 1638] on 13 February 1860.1 He was British Consul to Rotterdam.1 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court in 1882.1 In 1912 his arms were ratified by a Privy Council Special Committee following a challenge to his right to bear the title.1
He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Turing, of Foveran, Aberdeenshire [N.S., 1638] on 13 February 1860.1 He was British Consul to Rotterdam.1 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court in 1882.1 In 1912 his arms were ratified by a Privy Council Special Committee following a challenge to his right to bear the title.1

Sir James Walter Turing of Foveran, 9th Bt. was born on 3 January 1862.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Fraser Turing of Foveran, 8th Bt. and Catherine Georgiana Davidson.2 He married Mabel Rose Caldecott, daughter of Andrew Caldecott and Eliza Charley, on 5 February 1891.1 He died on 21 February 1928 at age 66.1
He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 2nd Volunteer Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Turing, of Foveran, Aberdeenshire [N.S., 1638] on 4 January 1913.1
