     Lt.-Col. George Gustavus Tuite was the son of Hugh Tuite and Sarah Elizabeth Chenevix.2 He married Dora Wood, daughter of Thomas Wood.1 He died on 7 October 1849, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 3rd Light Dragoons.1
