     Richard Sykes was born in 1706.¹ He was the son of Richard Sykes and Mary Kirkby.² He married Jane Hobman.¹ He married Anna Maria Edge.¹ He died in 1761, without issue.¹

     Reverend Sir Mark Sykes, 1st Bt. was baptised on 9 May 1711.¹ He was the son of Richard Sykes and Mary Kirkby.² He married Decima Woodham, daughter of Twyford Woodham, on 14 February 1735.¹ He died on 14 September 1783 at age 72.¹

     Joseph Sykes was born in 1723.¹ He was the son of Richard Sykes and Martha Donkin.² He married Dorothy Twigg, daughter of Nicholas Twigg, in June 1754.¹ He died on 26 November 1805.¹
     He held the office of Mayor of Hull.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the East Riding, Yorkshire.¹ He lived at West Ella, Yorkshire, England.³

     Dorothy Twigg was the daughter of Nicholas Twigg.² She married Joseph Sykes, son of Richard Sykes and Martha Donkin, in June 1754.¹ She died in 1796.¹
