Robert de Toeni, 1st Lord Tony was born on 4 April 1276.1 He was the son of Ralph VII de Toeni and Mary (?)2 He married Maud (?), daughter of Malise, 6th Earl of Strathearn, on 26 April 1293.1 He died before 28 November 1309, without issue.1
He was appointed Knight before 22 July 1298.1 On 22 July 1298 he took part in the English victory over Scots of Falkirk.1 He was created 1st Lord Tony [England by writ] on 6 February 1298/99.1 He fought in the Siege of Carlaverock in 1300.1 On his death, his Barony expired.1
