     Dorothy Winwood Smith is the son of Christopher Sydney Winwood Smith and Caroline Holland.²

     William Arthur Winwood Smith was born on 3 November 1854.¹ He was the son of Sir William Smith, 3rd Bt. and Susan Parker.² He married Harriet Cowland, daughter of John Lethbridge Cowland, on 6 October 1886.¹ He died on 22 May 1928 at age 73.¹

     Harriet Cowland was the daughter of John Lethbridge Cowland.² She married William Arthur Winwood Smith, son of Sir William Smith, 3rd Bt. and Susan Parker, on 6 October 1886.¹ She died on 5 November 1942.¹
     From 6 October 1886, her married name became Smith.

     Christopher William Winwood Smith was born on 28 March 1893.¹ He was the son of William Arthur Winwood Smith and Harriet Cowland.² He married Alice Muriel Garside, daughter of Captain W. F. Garside, in 1916.¹ He died on 6 April 1969 at age 76.¹
     He gained the rank of Instructor-Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Captain W. F. Garside lived at Morden, Seaford, Sussex, England.¹

     Alice Muriel Garside was the daughter of Captain W. F. Garside.² She married Christopher William Winwood Smith, son of William Arthur Winwood Smith and Harriet Cowland, in 1916.¹ She died on 20 April 1969.¹

     From 1949, her married name became Mayhew. She lived in 2003 at 7 Laurel Drive, Southmoor, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England.¹
