     John Robert Kilgour Sinclair, 2nd Baron Sinclair of Cleeve was born on 3 November 1919.¹ He is the son of Robert John Sinclair, 1st Baron Sinclair of Cleeve and Mary Shearer Barclay.² He married Patricia Hellyer, daughter of Lawrence Hellyer, on 12 April 1950.¹ He died in 1985.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1939 in the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1946.¹ He gained the rank of Major in 1951.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1954.¹ He was GSO(2), War Office in 1957.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1960.¹ He was U.K. Military Attaché to Leopoldville, Congo between 1960 and 1963.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1963.¹ He was Military Assistant to Deputy SACEUR SHAPE between 1964 and 1967.¹ He was Military Assistant to MOD between 1967 and 1969.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Sinclair of Cleeve, of Cleeve, co. Somerset [U.K., 1957] on 4 March 1979.¹

     David Barclay Sinclair was born on 29 July 1922.¹ He was the son of Robert John Sinclair, 1st Baron Sinclair of Cleeve and Mary Shearer Barclay.² He died on 27 October 1942 at age 20 at El Alamein, Egypt, killed in action.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 51st Highland Division, Reconnaissance Corps.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     From 12 April 1950, her married name became Sinclair. After her marriage, Patricia Hellyer was styled as Baroness Sinclair of Cleeve on 4 March 1979.

     Hon. Juliet Sinclair was born on 16 October 1951.¹ She is the daughter of John Robert Kilgour Sinclair, 2nd Baron Sinclair of Cleeve and Patricia Hellyer.² She married A. Philip Wallis, son of A. P. Wallis, on 1 June 1983.¹
     From 1 June 1983, her married name became Wallis.
