     Sir Henry David Shiffner, 8th Bt. was born on 2 February 1930.¹ He was the son of Sir Henry Burrows Shiffner, 7th Bt. and Margaret Mary Gowers.² He married, firstly, Dorothy Jackson, daughter of W. G. Jackson, on 8 February 1949.¹ He and Dorothy Jackson were divorced in 1956.¹ He married, secondly, Beryl Milburn, daughter of J. George Milburn, on 18 February 1957.¹ He and Beryl Milburn were divorced in 1970.¹ He married, thirdly, Joaquina Ramos Lopez in 1970.¹ He died on 22 August 2018 at age 88.³
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Shiffner, of Coombe, Sussex [U.K., 1818] on 22 November 1941.² He graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was a company director.¹
